.map file reset to 0 KB and lost EVERYTHING
Hi, i have been working on a new VERY hard map as hard as insane, and i was almost done with it. Cod4 froze while i had radiant on , and it wasnt responding, so i shutdown the pc, and when i returnedthe MAP.map FILE was reset to 0 KB!!! is there anyway i can recover EVERYTHING i worked so hard. i have the .ff and .FF load file. is it possible to extract the brush information from this file so i can still continue to work on the map???

there should be an autosave.mapin the bin folder.

btw make a copy of ur .map file if is very important for you

autosave = 1kb

In case of windows 7 rightclick the folder containing your map files and check if there are any previous copies available on the Previous Versions tab.
If not then I guess you're out of luck. I use Previous Versions and a robocopy script to sync with Dropbox (which also supports versioning) on two different computers. Losing stuff sucks!
