I want to buy a new pc in the near future, now I've put this one together;

VCard : Asus ENGTX570 DCII/2DIS/1280MD5
Processor : Intel Core I7 2600K
Memory : Corsair CMX4GX3M2A 1600C7 (2x)
Power : Cooler Master GX 650W V2
HD : WD AV-GP WD10EURS. 1TB

Total cost : 870 euro

Your thoughts please

Damnit I just found out Vista32 can't use more than 4 gigs of memory
Now I have to get Vista64 or Win7

But I probably will buy win7 home premium.

If you're thinking of buying another GTX 570 you should get at least a 850 Watt 80+ Gold PSU and a different GTX 570 like a Zotac GeForce GTX 570 AMP! which doesn't use 3 slots. Also, I'm buying this mobo: ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3, Z68, if you plan on upgrading to an Ivy Bridge CPU someday ...

That setup should handle BF3 on High with no problem, not sure about Ultra ...

But I never used SLI mode at all.

The only game atm that is worth getting a new PC for is BF3 (and Bioshock Infinite I think) but I'm not gonna buy an extreme high end PC just for 1 game. All other games that come out have console graphics (CoD anyone?) which the PC I have now can easily render (2,5 years old !!)
So I'll settle for High graphics atm(I think Ultra will be possible, from what I've read).

Btw, my meaning of the word upgrading is buying a new PC

Sure but since new GPUs are coming out in the first quartal of next year the 570s prices will probaly drop by next summer. But it's your decision. I don't think the difference between high and ultra will be that big anyways so ...

I don't think so too. And like I said before, there are no realy demanding (read:written for PC first) games coming out any time soon.
