What are you trying to compile when you get that error? a .d3dbsp is essentially the compiled version of the geometry, lighting, and paths (singleplayer) for your map.

I don't know what to say, this doesn't make any sense at all. Will move to the right forum.

Put at least one of each spawn, intermissions and make sure map is correctly sealed by the skybox?

intermissions are the video feeds that you see in the background while selecting team and weapons. You need just one of them.

right click>mp>global intermission

oh yes i already have that in, i refer to it in my head as spectator spawn because thats what somebody told me it was once, yeah i did have one. but i do not know if i need to set any custom entities for it. i mean that panel when you press N and it has Key: value: do i need to add any of those to it?

if anybody else gets this problem. press compile BSP and wait for it to finish look somwhere near the end of it it may say "misc_prefab (coordinates) has no model" go on radiant get the tab at the top Misc >> go to posistion >> then type in the coordinates from the error report. there will be a small red box either delete it or make it what it was supposed to be in the first place then save and try compiling again.

This is probably a dumb question. How can I see a logfile for the compile? I'm using cod 4 radiant and compiling used to work until I added a prefab desk, it seemed to flip out. So I think I'm getting an error, because when it compiles after a few seconds it just closes the cmd window, and testing the game play loads my old map before the changes made. Any changes made after this weird leak are gone.

I tried making a new skybox, corners are good.
