PS3 & PC Jumping

Well, no doubt PS3 is harder, but thats not what i'm gonna talk about.

The FPS on PS3 is 60, right? Any way to check this?

Well using 60fps on PC, I can strafe further than I can on PS3, is this because of the mouse and keyboard? Because I was thinking, if I could get mouse + keyboard to work on PS3 (theres some gadgets) then I could strafe further on ps3.

Don't wanna waste money on the gadget if it isn't the mouse + keyboard tho

Yes.

With the mouse and keyboard combination you can get a much better strafe jumping technique than you can on a console.

Also, if you had your FPS set to 125 fps it would have helped, but ignoring that, you still would have jumped better due to it.

The only downside is that you'll have to learn how to strafe jump properly on the keyboard/mouse as opposed to the PS3, which I would imagine is a totally different experience. If you strafe further already on the keyboard/mouse then I'd imagine this isn't an issue for you

Wow roxzor, I showed you those keyboard + mouse adapters a long time ago!
I looked at a couple and they look awesome and relatively inexpensive, but the only thing I'm concerned about is the possibility of there some kind of delay in response from the mouse or keyboard, because it's third party.

yer i didnt no either. But if you can for ps3 it will defiantly help cos when i tryed using the shitty thing (ps3 ) i couldnt even move foward lol. So yer i think it will definatly help. But shorley if you got mouse and keyboard for it it will make you impossible to beat in games? cos its sooo much faster and easier??!!!lol you would own

I read a customer review for XFPS Rateup, it all looks pretty good. Apart from this line, think this will effect it in terms of jumping?

Theoretically yes.
But, the mouse (I think) is just a simulator and still uses the slightly 'clunky' controller movement.
If the mouse movement is fast and accurate. Allowing both very smooth vertical and horizontal movement, or as accurate as a PC mouse, it will improve your jumping...

I think if you just put the sensitivity of CoD4 on insane it should be alright, but it will definately take some getting used to because you will still be. Able to move your hand faster than the console sensitivity will allow.

Well its not like I can just buy it to test it out, its quite a lot of money and I need to be sure that it'll improve my strafing (bare in mind, don't mean to sound cocky, but i'm a very good jumper on ps3).
