As some of you know, FileFront will be closing down for good on March 30th.
Ziff Davis filed for bankruptcy a while ago and now FF gets to feel the shock wave that is the economy.

That's about it. If you have any of your files hosted there, make sure to download and save them before they disappear completely.

I'm sad, almost every patches from games and whatever where there, I didn't know they were closing either so thanks for the information, I'll miss them.

I can understand shutting down the main filesharing section of the the site, but the entire site itself I am unsure of. I am sure that a small donation link would be able to keep the FF community alive.

Was never really my choice for downloading patches or anything at all tbh, but still was a major player in gaming.

(Also, I am not sure if they have worded it incorrectly, but it states they are being suspended. Usually this mean they will pay for the domain name and not the hosting, allowing a future come back to be possible.)

A comeback shouldn't be impossible.

NM, how many files are hosted on codfiles, and what's the total filesize ? Is that possible to check ?

Reuploading every file after they are all removed would take months. The size of their hosting I can almost guarantee being in the Terrabyte area.

Remember filefront hosts many <game>files.com sites.

A relaunch will most likely happen, but when, is the question...

Company has placed filefront under its assets list, and so everything including domain name will be gone (and then immediately bought by an agent).

The ESTIMATED LIABILITY (Debts) of Ziff Davies = [$500,000,000 - $1,000,000,000]

No wonder bankruptcy is being filed...

You do realise 'he' is a company and not a person?
The company is a publisher with some of the top of the range magazines and websites (PC Magazine being a commonly known one in UK).

They were bought by UGO. So yeah, sites shutting down.
