Full-Length Bayonet Jumping video

Post by Infinite » November 23rd, 2008, 7:03 pm

The only part that isn't possible in a real public server as of v1.1 of CoD:WaW is at 1:35 where i noclipped for a second :x.

I couldn't wait for demos to make a full-length bayonet jumping movie, so i made one ^^.

Bayonet jumping is only possible if you have someone from the other team to help you. So it is VERY unlikely that people will actually do this by themselves. They need a friend t o help them in a pub, so I really do doubt that it will be removed from the game. And if they remove bayonet jumping from the game, they will remove the lunge from the bayonet, therefore making bayonets the same as knives, which makes them pointless, because they are slower than knives. I am uncertain as to if they can fix it or not, but what i think what i said above will happen if they take bayonet jumping out.

Its actually very simple, but it takes a little but of precision :s.

All you need is 2 people (one who has a rifle with a bayonet) and a bounce object (preferably a steep one).

You have the person with the bayonet on the opposite side of where he is going, and you have the other guy on the side to where the person with the bayonet will be going. The guy without the bayonet has to stand as far back as possible so that the guy with the bayonet can lunge at him. You can charge at the bounce and then use the bayonet, or just stand at the base of the bounce and use the bayonet, but either way will work. That's a basic way of bayonet bouncing, but I'm a bit too lazy to make a video tut atm :s.

I would only use bayonet jumps for extremely high places. It's too easy to jump with.Did you survive every jumps? It seemed you fall from too high to the roofs.I think of those ehich haven't got invisible walls.

I'm fairly certain we survived all of them, except maybe the one on the statue, you reminded me that we forgot to test that one :x. the 1st one in upheaval took us a while to do because we wanted to survive the jump and not go too high, so i know for certain that at least 95% of the jumps in there are possible.

its looks nice that Bajonet jumps, but how i already said, its not about jumping... Its just flying somehow... When you get some roof in cod4, you can be proud of yourself, but in Cod5 you can be proud of your sharp bajonet....

no matter what you think, its considered a glitch, and half of the places we got are still possible without bayonet jumping. It just makes it easier. Many people don't care if its bayonet jumping or strafing or bouncing, its all considered glitching or exploiting to them. So, you can stick to strafing and bouncing if you honestly don't like bayonet jumping, More jumps will be found either way.

So can anybody explain the process of this glitch without speaking gibberish?

So far all I got from the above explanation is:

- Bayonet
- Steep bouncable Object
- Lunge
