Possible Roller Coaster?

Post by Lethal323 » August 14th, 2007, 7:01 am

Now that i think about it. I'm pretty sure we could make a roller coaster, because think of the carride or truckride mission, your going up and down hills and around corners in a car... How come you couldnt do that in multiplayer?

I think many people hav ethought about it ( I know I have), and yes it can be done quite easily, it would just take a while to script and tbh, the results would be that amazing. Feel free to have fun trying though :)

Someone made a vehicle mod for cod 2 where it sticks to the terrain, think it was UN or something..I doubt the coding is for the faint hearted though :P

Can you move a entity in a smooth arc with a steeper slope? Like a skateboard ramp?

Yes, but it isnt easy and requires maths.

i think it would involve calculating the degree of the slope and then you would half to give the cart a ratio to Move x by y and x being time it moves up to the time it moves forward, you would half to find a ratio for that there for making it go up... then the same ratio going back down if its just a simple simetrical hill...

I am in 9th grade, and im taking 12th grade math :P

they wouldnt let me take collage grade math... :( (shitheads)

Exactly. Thats why you use the ratios
