fireplace soundfx

Post by t3vY » July 8th, 2007, 9:03 pm

Ok, what i need is a soundfx for a fireplace.I used medfire( maps\mp\_fx::soundfx("medfire", (1344, 1223, -245)); ) - but this fx is too loud.
So which soundfx should i use for a good fireplace sound :) ?
Tnx

All the fire sounds have the same volume set in the csv, as you can see in iw_sounds.csv(in pak1.pk3). You can adjust the volume if you use your own csv, just use a unique name(i.e not medfire) and put in the stock file path for the sound in your csv, in this case it would be fire/Fire_med_loop02.wav

oops thats cod 1, but you can do basically the same thing, the csv is in iw_06.iwd. "smallfire" is probably best for the fireplace, so try that and if its too loud make your own csv and lower the volume.
