Question about texture [help]

how can i make custom blendable texture?
i know how to make custom texture but i dont know how to make it blendable.

You'll have to elaborate on your definition of "blendable".

Do you mean a decal which has transparent areas of it, for example a blood splatter?

To my very limited knowledge, I recall you needing to make sure it has 4 channels (RGBA) instead of the default 3 and it must be saved with Alpha (brain is saying DXT5 but may be wrong).

I mean like custom sand texture which is blendable with rock

I know how to blend normal textures but i cant blend my custom textures
