Hearthstone

Post by Rezil » November 7th, 2013, 12:45 pm

So, does anyone have this yet or has a spare beta key? I'm still waiting for mine but from what I've watched of the game so far it looks really good, even though it's basically a simpler version of MTG.

Your thoughts on it?

A friend of mine has a beta. She likes it. But it's a card game, so people who pay for it, are steps ahead of those who don't. Technically it's a pay-to-win game. Not my type of games. But Blizzard usually is win anyway.

I've watched it from time to time. It looks pretty fun. I don't know anyone with a beta key though.

Put my name in the hat a long time ago - it look like a bit of a time sink, certainly not something I would get involved heavily in.

Hmm, there must be a sneaky Blizzard employee lurking around here somewhere.

Nah, my brother got it for me. Didn't even ask him where he got it from. :)

On topic: Well kiss my social life goodbye for the next month, I'm really enjoying myself so far and you can really feel Blizzards sleezy hands slowly creeping into your wallet. Fast progression at the start and really easing you into the (inevitable since it's f2p) grind.

It's pretty fun, I watch it more than I play it but it definitely has long term value.

I tried it, it is pretty fun but its not a game I am really willing to try and get good at.
