We do not check the maps for errors, we work on report of errors. Somebody reported your map as broke - I checked it and confirmed it was broken. The map was removed because it causes server errors and lag (on all servers - even local).

Once I have confirmed that the global intermission is the cause of other map issues, it will be reported and removed until fixed.
When the map is fixed, it can be reuploaded.

There are mapping standards - all maps should have both spectator spawns and DM spawns (I would recommend ~16)
It also does not hurt to put a single set of TDM spawns.

Seems like an easy fix to me.

It was fixed as soon as I heard there was a problem. However, I'm not sure if I should update these forums with the new Map. I don't see the point to be honest. Anyway, I would list maps that are not only bugged but also useless...But I'm not like that.

At least people try ;)

Fix the map. According to Drofder it's not even an hour's work.

By the way, knowing that each and every map won't work correctly without spawnpoints, why aren't they created automatically?
The developers should have made it so that when creating a new map, one worldspawn brush, one intermission and one spawnpoint are added automatically, and then mapper is able to work on the map.

Or it could error on compile. "No 'x' entity detected" or something.

There used to be an official IW wiki with a checklist for MP Mapping, that wiki no longer exists.
Dead link.

I said I fixed it as soon as I heard there was a problem. And you're right, I probably shouldn't be mapping. But, I'll be the judge of that.

I updated the map the second I knew about the error, but the map is uploaded to many servers which is all I care about. No point posting it on these forums.

Chef, if you want the updated version of blue2 PM me or Xfire me, thanks.

Don't worry, no hard feelings, we were all 10 years old once.

I'm 22, I'm also not angry or disappointed. I understand why you removed my map & I respected the reasons. However, I just don't see the point in posting it again...That's all. Anyone who wants it knows where to get it...Not here.

I would happily list 5 very good reasons for you to post here, but I would be wasting my time - I wouldn't want you to go against your own integrity or principles.

It's not about that and I'm not trying to be an ass or anything. I just don't see the point. It's not like it was a good map anyway, lol.

Chucky you should just upload your fixed map here because I know alot of people come to this site to look for CJ maps and giving people broken maps isn't a good idea :P

Here is a small list of maps that I have encountered with the same problem:

mp_awe
mp_blue2
mp_islands_v2
mp_khaos
mp_madhouse
mp_colour
mp_dark_v3

There's probably more but I haven't had the chance to play them yet.

EDIT:
I wanna add to this that I just tried running the same mod on a local server of mine and tried all of these maps and they didn't cause any errors or lagg????

I found a fix for the lagg issue. In the default cfg settings from the CJ Mod logs are enabled.

I removed these lines and the lagg was gone:

set g_logsync "2"
set logfile "1"
set g_log "games_mp.log"
set sv_log_damage "1"
