default_server.cfg doesn't seem to work

I am tying to make a Codjumper server but i'm having some problems with the default_server.cfg file
it seems that it doesn't work for some reason when i change something in the file it does nothing on my server
what do i do?

Are you executing the .cfg? /exec default_server.cfg in console. Also remember that some changes will require the map to reload before they take effect.

Read what I just said, you need to then execute the config on the server using the above command ^ Simply saving the changes to the config file will not work unless it is being read by the server.

As far as i know youre editing the wrong file. Isnt the default_server.cfg a file that is generate by the game on every startup?
Editing this wont take any effect. Im not sure..need further opinions.

1) Edit the config file as desired, save it, close it, name it whatever you want, in your case it's called "default_server.cfg" right?
2) Make sure the config file is in "mods/codjumpermod" (codjumper mod will be whatever version the mod is called now/that you are trying to use).
3) Open CoD4, launch the codjumper mod.
4) Open the in-game console (by pressing the tilde key ~ or the key to the left of 1) - if neither of those work, make sure Console is enabled in Multiplayer Options.
5) Type in the console "/exec default_server.cfg" and press enter.
6) Launch server as normal.
