Its great so far, but havent played for enough hours for a proper review.

Combat: 9/10. Elements for stealth and guns handle very nice. Haven't tried a lot of weapons however. (Bow is awesome)
Story: 9/10. Again, only having done the first part of the story, can't say much on the plot, but the 'bad guy' is awesome and the voice acting is one of the best for a long time.
Graphics: 10/10. I haven't got it on full (one of the first games to have slight lag on that front) but it still looks amazing. The animations are also very smooth.

I also haven't played it for that long (haven't seen a tree yet :) )
But I have to have a new Vidcard and processor probably (I run it just over minimum and that is not what I want) :(

But still, it looks awesome and like drof said the voiceacting (Vaas especialy) is damn near perfect !

Nope. No issues for me. Running GTX460 on mostly high settings, vsync off (I think) and AA at between 0-4 (cant remember what I set it to).

Documents>My Games>Far Cry 3>GamerProfile.xml (open in notepad)
CTRL+F - "ShowFPS". Change value to 1. Save.

Turns out this actually doesn't work :/

Fraps works sometimes ingame. My fps is around 25-30 on high (dx9) but when I change everything to low it is still 30 ??
Vsync is off in Farcry and the nvidia console.
Any idea's ?

You could try using your driver software (nvidia/ati) to limit the frames?

Nvidia Control Panel - 3D Settings (this does not mean stereoscopic 3D, it means 3D applications [games mostly]).
Also, this thread might yield some results:

Tried everything but still it caps at 32 FPS. It runs smooth though accept for the microstuttering (MS) ofcourse.
A lot of players have this MS problem. Players with high end machines turned the graphics to low and to dx9 but still the phenomenon was there.
The new patch and new Nvidia drivers didn't solve it. I guess I have to wait for a new patch which solves this issue :(

Woohoo !! Got it working.
The "solution" in my case is to add MaxFps=30 (yeah I know it's low :( ) in the ini file and turning off all Uplay ingame features.
Now hopefully it still saves the progress I made ?!

It is an awesome game, I realy like the non-scripted attacks by the animals on the island...."TIGER !!!" :)
Got my first "scare" aswell...jumped in the water and imediately got attacked by an aligator..aaah
I haven't got the bow yet but that will be my favo weapon I'm sure.

The only thing I realy don't like is that you can not quickload from the point where you saved, would make the game even more fun.

I've played it a bit, but I'm kinda the opposite regarding the animals. They're a cool thing and add life to the game, but there's way too many of them and they kill enemies too much and too easily. I've seen more komodo dragons than goats, and I've encountered more dead enemy patrols than live ones.

I went hunting in an area where there were supposed to be boar, and while I found a few groups of those, I could never actually kill any of them. I kept having to run through the open to get away from 2 or 3 komodo dragons chasing me and subsequently scaring off all the boar.

I prefer the physical map in Far Cry 2 to the overlay in FC3. Other than that the game is quite good, I especially like the player movement.
