Too much patience required, I kinda lack that.

i once picked open the lock on my cheap little safe cause i lost my key, i used a pen clip and a bent bobby pin, i think it would be something cool to pick up, but it seems very tedious to learn

Once you know how to it would be pretty cool but as said, the learning progress would take to long.

Unless you're planning on breaking the law, it's almost completely useless :roll:

Locksmith is a legal profession that pays well, as it is considered a specialist skill.

Think about how many people daily forget their keys to cars, bikes and houses. When the police want to gain access to a building without smashing a door, they call a locksmith.

I actually did once do a lot of reading of lockpicking and the theory is mostly simple, but practice is something I never did.

@Drofder:

You should get yourself a set of picks and we can be Lockie-Bros! :P
When you have been doing it for 6 months, let me know. Until then, I am not following suit with your hobbies :P

Aye, hence the "almost" part of my post. I assume Sam isn't moving towards a profession of locksmith.

Never be wrong with an opt out clause. Taking up lockpicking as a hobby is just as pointless as a hobby involving alcohol...

With that logic all hobbies are pointless. Just enjoy what you like doing, that's what hobbies are.

So you didn't enter them, but you did it without being seen... Sounds like a locker robbery!
