What and ignore the actual reason why it works?

Bad attitude, better to have discussions about the methods as you may find some small hints of things to improve your own (and everyone elses) jump techniques.

You already discussed the reasoning and I read it all, at which point megazor said in his last post that he thinks he can get the same distance with just turning not strafing. My comment was aimed at his post due to the fact that even if he thinks he can get the same distance just turning, it is much more sensible to strafe and turn due to the findings that you and others have shown.
