Maybe once your an experienced jumper, but when I started out I played this map, and I'm glad I started out on it. The jumps wern't too hard but it wasn't too simple (eg. the wall climb and swinging `pendulums`), and although it's not aesthetically pleasing in the sense that it's in a proper environment, it is still aesthetically pleasing imo because the textures used are varied and fit in with each other, as well as the black/yellow lines marking where to jump from and bounce. Either way I loved playing that map as a beginner.

And that's exactly what's wrong with the mappers these days, for some reason it's all about who can make the hardest (possible) map.

Perhaps it's just the 'old/older' generation jumpers who are bothered by this crazy, overused fps switching - as in 3-2-1-3-2-3-1 or whatsoever. I'd rather have someone making 1 good map over a year time than 5 shit (yes I said shit) maps.

I'm not saying that maps with fps switching included are bad, but atleast keep it reasonable and playable for most of the jumpers.

Opinion was given. :)

Too right man, I loved peds_propel. The textures used for the ground, each platform, each bounce etc were consistent, and properly aligned together. It looked very neat and tidy. Same can be said about trial_2, obviously not a real world type map, but still enjoyable to look at.

7 hours sounds about right to me :| ???? why dont anyone belive that :S hhaahhaa most of my maps actual bounces i probably make within 4 - 7 days (about 2 -3 hours of mapping a day) ........... everyone has to start somewere don't they ???? let him do his thing .... if he wants to make maps in 7 hours soo what :L:L .............. chill out<3

Do you ever wonder why your maps never look as good as Portal, Dungeon, Cruise and Offices?

Time is a factor in ALL good map designs.
A low level mapper, will make a good map with time and a good mapper can make a great map with time.
Take time out of the equation and you are stuck in your mapping level.

The two maps you proudly mention are average at best, 3/5, 3.5/5 if I am feeling generous.

thats your opinion :L:L .......... tbh i make maps for fun and ive never had anyone give me negative comments .................. i bet if we did a vote on here from the whole community portal,canyon, and all them maps would not be voted the best maps r the best looking maps :| ............ ill make a thread if you want me too ?? :L
