Weird iwd problem

Hi all,
i am going crazy cause more people can't connect to my server with different iwd problems...
For example:

"clientDownload: 2 : beginning "mods/hcl_codjumper3_1/mp_all_i.iwd"
clientDownload: 2 : "mods/hcl_codjumper3_1/mp_all_i.iwd" file not found on server"

and there is no file called mp_all_i.iwd...

Some others can't connect cause "attempted to overrun string in call to va ()" and it's sure something to do with their cfg but i can't figure what...

I had a test download by myself and everything worked...

server is linux, about 50 maps in rotation, iwd in mods, no iwd in usemaps, codjumper3_1...

any suggestion?

the "Overrun string VA()" error is to do with a a string... that has over-run.
In other words, there is a cap on the amount of characters that can be contained within a string.

1. If you have a long map rotation, shorten it by 3-4 maps.
2. If you have all your IWD stored inside your servers CoD folders, they will be loaded whether or not they appear in the rotation. Either move or remove them from the server.
3. There is a limit on DVAR length, if you have a massive amount of characters in a string (guid admins) then you will need to shorten this also [least likely source of problem].

I believe this fixed the non-mod related crashes on CJ1.

So you're suggesting:

1 - to have a rotation down to about 45 maps
2 - to remove the iwds that arent in rotation
3 - to make shorter the string about admin guids (is it possible to put 8 digit guid and not the extended?)

am i right?

and what about file different from the server?

1. The amount of maps does not matter, it is the size of the string created by the map names that matters.
I personally do not see a reason for you to have 45 maps in a rotation and I almost guarantee it is the main cause of your problems. If you really need this many maps, I suggest you do a rotating rotation (change rotation once a week, or every few days).

Remove 5-10 maps and see how it goes. If you still get the error, remove more.

2. Yes, any IWD that is not actively being used by either the mod or the map rotation must be removed as the game still reads these IWDs and references them in a DVAR.

3. In regards to admin GUIDs, I would be talking if you had an excessive amount of listed admins (above 30).

is there a fix for the client iwd problem when i remove some maps iwd from server folder?

If i put a certain iwd in mod folder and people download it, when i remove it from server it gives clients this error on map rotate:
"Notice Impure Client Detected. invalid.iwd reference"

Dw I get this error on CJ #1 despite having deleted and re-downloaded all the correct iwds multiple times :P /reconnect

now i have 40 maps in rotation and still someone has this issue:

Post your config (without passwords) and if possible a screenshot (or cmd [dir /o:gn] print out) of your mod directory contents.

i'd like to point out that now the server is running codjumper 3.1 just because this error started with version 3.12b and it was something like "hcl_co.iwd is different from the server"... and other random crash with maps... now i switched to 3.1 and the error is pretty the same, just with another file... it seems that the server can't read the whole file...

I can only suggest starting with 10 maps and add them slowly (5 at a time).

My guess is that you are exceeding a limit somewhere and the game is just ending the file mid read.
