Thing is, there's a difference between DLC if you look at both MW2 maps and Oblivion (Or more recently, Dragon Age). MW2 doesn't add any gameplay, just new (Or old maps for CoD4 players >_>) but you play the same game. There's thousands of custom maps, some are awesome but they're all free.

But Oblivion and Dragon Age add new gameplay value, new zones, monsters, maybe even new abilities. I don't mind paying money for that, but wasn't it like 15 Euros for MW2 map packs or so ? That's too much. The Oblivion DLC only costed a couple of Euros and they have a couple of hours gameplay value.

Yes, the majority is.

But every so often something of value may turn up, its rare however. The content provided must either add a feature that makes the game twice as fun or the content must have longetivity.

Paying £2 as an individual for a single map sounds cheap, but then when you think of the profits they are making and the money they have paid to complete the job in the first place, and then roughly get a price on how many people have bought it, you start to realise just how shit a deal you actually got.

For me, the best game ive bought DLC for was Fallout 3. There are 5 add ons for it, each adding around 10-5 hours of gameplay, as well as new areas and weapons.
