Someone said that would be disrespectful if they changed the name, they had the guts to fire all of *Xfire's employees*(not Viacom's employees) - respect? Well anyway, I hope the name stays, but surly our Xfire application will change, expect loads of Titan adds.
Anyway I found out about this "news" because I asked my friend why he keeps changing his xfire avatar and he told me that he isn't, he said that "xfire" keeps on doing that. He said that since Titan bought Xfire, they remove any kind of nudity, even from gaming screenshots.
I said that, and I agree with your post.

But why did they hand xfire over to some other bunch of people and get 'fired' afterwards on an awesome program (The best for gamers) they worked their asses off ?

So they sold it, but they still get fired. They must have known about that...

They wouldn't have sold it if they cared about not being able to work there, that's pretty obvious to me. As for the other devs...chances are they had no ownership of xfire so have no say in the matter...just employees in the business world.
It's not about that. Viacom are the one who sold Xfire. However, there were people that were working for the "xfire" itself, they were not Viacom's employees, they were Xfire employees, working from their homes, working on the site, doing events, managing the forums etc. Titan coulda let them stay, they were all doing a great job. I read some posts of some of those employees where they were complaining about being fired and saying how sad it is.

BUSINESS IS BUSINESS.

When buying a business, the first thing you need to do is work out what is going to make you money, and what is going to lose you money...
Titan has its own staff and no longer needed the previous staff, I can also confidently say they were NOT fired, because being fired legally requires a valid reason (as set by the unions, councils, government, contract, etc), it is more likely they were given redundancy pay (layoff, for Americans) or even a compensation of a few months of pay.

Please, don't change it. I really wouldn't like going around asking people: "Do you have a titan?"
