A MW2 video discussing alot of perks unlockables attachments etc.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArOnxjXg ... re=related

At 4:10 it talks about equipment called tactical insertion - "throw it down and it determines where your next spawn is - choose where to respawn".

That would be very useful indeed for jumping in public matches, because you could get to a certain point, throw that insertion down, and then if you get killed/fail the next jump, you will just respawn back where you were?

Im guessing there will be something to stop that like you can only use it a few times per match or something, but if not that will be pretty useful :D

Edit: Enemies can see the tactical insertion and blow it up so you don't respawn there, which is the "balance" for it as said on the video. Still sounds extremely good for doing jumps.

Sounds like an idea already being used in a game (I think quake wars?), but yes. Its a good-for-jumping idea.

They had that in Unreal Tournament (although it was more of a teleport device rather than respawn device).

Sounds OK, but yet again looks terribly like MW2 is going to be an arcade-fest of a game.

I can taste the Halo from here. On an optimistic note though, the respawn thing should be sweet for jumping.

Holy shit... Washington is burning!

Those trailers always look so sick. Those bouncing betty kind of explosives flying up and tossing all that shrapnel around. Crazy mean devices :P

Oh, another thing about Washington burning...who cares? In the end it'll just be another mostly linear level in which you use unrealistic guns to kill infinitely spawning enemies as you navigate through narrow streets and various buildings. The scenery will be nothing more than a skybox or very lowly detailed set for added effect when flying over. Oh boy, I'm so excited!
