Not for me, looks very good as a game, but RTS is on the bottom of my list.

Re: Starcraft II
I need a new RTS to play on my "WAN" nights, we've been playing CNC3 Tiberium Wars, getting a little boring.

Re: Starcraft II
Well I agree. I just like the SP and the storyline is always fantastic (Blizzard, no surprise). But for competetive online play I don't like these kind of games. I'm too much into defending. I want my base to be as awesome as possible. On the other hand, I do like playing these kind of games with a friend against computer.

Yeah I'm exactly the same, my mate already has a few firehawks and tanks, and I haven't even finished my base defenses, I like my base to be as built up as possible.[SoE]_Zaitsev wrote:Well I agree. Re: Starcraft II
I tend to play that way too, so I'll probably suck at online as well. Maybe if some of us base builders get SC2 we can play some either against the computer or with no attack for 20min or something.

Givin' a shout out to all ma homees!
It's summer and I'm bored so I figured I'd play Starcraft a bit, it's still an amazingly fun game after all. Unfortunately, there are practically no online games worth joining. So to anyone else who is bored and has Starcraft, install it so we can play some online stuff!

Re: Starcraft II
The only RTS I've found that isn't that way is Empire: Total War, but that game is really unstable so I don't play it online anyway.

Re: Starcraft II
Stupid bot bumped it to the top. Did you buy this Soviet ? Finished the SP and I won my first 2on2 online yesterday with my bro

Re: Starcraft II
Haven't bought it yet, I don't want to get obsessed with it right before I've got to start college. Beta was quite good though.

Re: Starcraft II
The SP is really awesome. Starcraft 1 had missions where you had to build up your base, build an army and destroy the opposite army. That's completely gone apart of 2 or 3 missions where you can take your time.
They added in some awesome mechanics like Zerg advancing faster and faster the longer you take, defend bases at night, but go kill stuff at daylight, moving your base up forward slowly while some kind of massive firewall is slowly advancing on the map from left to right. I don't want to spoil too much but you have some 'stress' now while playing the SP. Pretty cool story, but you hunger for more now, will probably take over a year for Heart of the Swarm
I buy it for the SP, MP is just something extra, I like to play with my bro online but it's not my main focus since RTS isn't a strong point personally.
