I love the new site. It has its glitches and messups in places but not uncommon after a huge change!
Didnt even notice until reading this, I am linked directly to the forums, I never use the site
Might use it a little now, it looks very nice gj

Re: New Website
He just went straight to the forums instead of going to the site first.

Re: New Website
I use Firefox, and everything else is shown in its original size, also the site. Just these Forums are oversized so that I've to scroll right to see all the text :SPedsdude wrote:Use a bigger resolution...
Is that normal?

Re: New Website
I do exactly the same. In all honesty i've no reason to visit the main site haha.[SoE]_Zaitsev wrote:He just went straight to the forums instead of going to the site first.
Re: New Website
Right, I've 'fixed' the site so that now it should show fine to people using Chrome and IE (or at least IE 7 - other people will have to confirm other versions). For some reason when I view it in Chrome there's a separate veritcal line to the right of the main site all the way down (KS reported this when he generally views the site in FF), but that'll have to do.
If you spot any other errors or pages I forgot to fix then please let me know by posting here.

Re: New Website
Looks great guys, clean and simple!
Good job : )
Just some minor things:
- Clicking the links for a sub-menu to appear is not really good usability. I personally think it would work better if the sub-menu appeared on hover (saves a click).
- Minor error in IE7 Screenshot

Re: New Website
Maybe try conditional css (I know it's a pain to support so many different browsers)KillerSam wrote:I get those lines also - changes depending on firefox zoom. It seems near impossible to get a site working in all browsers
Re: New Website
I've yet to find a successful hover code for ALL browsers. I tried it so much when I was redesigning the site before and it drew me insane for a number of days.Koekie wrote:- Clicking the links for a sub-menu to appear is not really good usability. As for the minor error in IE7, I see that too. I'll look into fixing it in a few days time perhaps, but it's not top of my priority list, plus I'm going back to London on Saturday so will be busy over the next few days.
Re: New Website
Just focus on the browsers people actually care about (forget IE)

Re: New Website
Can't forget IE, 42.4% of all our visitors last month were using it.
The others can suck my dick though:
Opera 6.3 %
Safari 2.8 %
Mozilla 0.4 %
Netscape 0.3 %
LibWWW 0.1 %
