I've seen the sway bug, and not just only for the sniper rifle. That's some massive sick bug.

If I compare sniping in public play and matches, I play better in public servers. Simply because something is wrong.

If I compare sniping in CoD2 and CoD4... CoD2 is simply better because the accuracy is much better. If I'm aiming on a player who's standing still, it's guaranteed a hit (On CoD2 that is). But I tested it myself on CoD4. Now I'm a very quick shot with snipers, I've always been. I don't wait completely when I hold my breath, I take as an example a person who's standing still... But still, while I'm 100% positive I hit him, it simply doesn't hit him. I tried the same, but now I waited very long until I shot him, and I did hit him. I did the exact same with leaning, and when you lean, you might as well not shoot because the hitbox is simply screwed up.

In short, sniping is pissing me off during matches.

Yes, I do believe it has got something to do with the sway bug. I'm fairly sure about it. A G3 is more guaranteed to hit you at times, he has no downside because you need to wait for the buggy breathing with a sniper rifle.

without any sniper fix u cant hit anything with the scope... but the first sniper fix was too easy.. there was no sway.. u dont need to hold breath with that... but this unite fix is just perfect...
and nosway mod for the other weapons is needed too.. cus of this bug

Also, I'm glad somebody is here to finally share the issue which has been bothering me for ages.

It's just stupid to miss easy targets while there's no reason for me to miss him.

true.. without sniper fix the scope doesnt shoot there where u are aiming for sometimes..
with the scope fix its always shooting there where u are aiming at.. so how can it be a poor fix? :p

when the weapon sways it doesnt shoot where u are aiming for at this moment..
its a bug in cod4 and iw will fix that in 1.6
thats why there is a nosway mod which disables the swaying from all guns
cus of this sway the sniper was also bugged and didnt shoot where u are aiming at... thats why there is a sniper fix..
the first sniper fix disabled the sway completely for sniper.. but that was too easy cus u dont need to hold breath anymore lol^^
thats why they released the unite sniper fix and increased the sway a little bit so u need to hold breath again
with this unite scope fix the sniper is perfect now

Very nice movie.. As usual from u atze.
But all downsides have been mentioned before: Too many lucky hipshot and a little too much blur effects. Overall its a great video.

About the sniper.. the cod4 sniping is messed up, im no brilliant sniper, but I can hold my own and I sometimes too KNOW that a shot should be a hit, but then it isnt..

This CLEARLY shows that there is no bug. The videos you posted must have been recorded using demos, which apparently causing the bug.

I shall test myself...

Sadly I could not get testclients working to test this myself, but there are lots of people complaining about it, yet I have never experienced it.

Maybe there is something else tot his :S

IW officially said the sway bug is existing..... and they will fix it in 1.6
of course there are situations where the shots hit where u are aiming at.. but thats very seldom..
i also tried it by myself.. sometimes u hit but most of the time the shots are fucked with the sway

I have it too frequently with sniper rifles. Mostly occuring when holding my breath. I can't say for sure I had it with any MG or so. But it's there with the sniper rifle. I sniped since CoD, even before that and I just feel that there's something wrong with the CoD4 snipers.

I have it too with sniper rifle.. I shot 3 shots straight at a guy (at the center of the chest) the other day... breath held and everything thing, from about 15 meters away (50 feet?) and the first two shots didnt hit... I killed him eventually, but I shouldve had him a lot sooner.
