Hey guys did 259 250fps tonite, but it was on my server just to see if i could do it (never done gaps that much), could u guys check it out to make sure i aint messed any of the settings up jump_height etc then il lgo do it on CJ server.

It needs to be recorded on a CJ server. No exceptions.

yep i know this, ill get it done today, but i normaly get up to 259 then theres like 5 mins left

, need an admin on there with me unless i get lucky in the next hour or so

hey theres one thing i dont understand anymore....why does it have to be filmed on a cj server when we have methods to check these?

Correct me if im wrong but if anybody knew so much about cj that they could change other settings than the original ones (gravity, jumpheight etc) im sure theyd be a member of codjumper. The only one thing that could possibly be tampered with is the timescale...and ive one more fantastic way of checking i think.

At the start of demos, if you have cheats on they shouldnt be counted valid. However, if you type (or press the hotkey) for a cheat on a noncheat server , say noclip, then on the screen it displayed 'cheats are turned off on this server.' (or similar. That would make it impossible for people to cheat with the commands. The only time when this could be changed is if you had to get somewhere first, say out of rhine, and you dont want to spend 10 mins getting out or whatever it takes. then you might aswell just noclip up there...but the method i explained could work... especially if its on a stock map where you dont need to do a different jump to get where youre jumping from, OR, if youre gapping...

(dont flame me if im talking a load of crap please )

I think i see where ur coming from, but for me the only reason i jump on my own server is coz i can get 250 fps constant and 0 Ping ofc which makes jumping alot easier when its smooth all the time, im guessing the only reason u made people jump on CJ server before is so u knew they wernt using higher jump_height gravitiy etc, but as we have commands for this may this rule get changed if not i will carry on trying 259 on CJ server

u cant see if someone uses lower grav or g_speed but mayb if someone makes a mod or on uo this was possible: if u changed ur gravity to 800 it would say at the bottom left : server has changed to 800 gravity so mayb this is a way to show that u change the gravity to 800

That's because there's no messing around with the CJ server. The settings are always default.

We didnt allways have this rule, it actually is a quite new rule.. But we felt we had to make a rule like that when more and more fake demos were send in..
@ jimbojet: I believe u can still adjust gravity and speed in servers where cheats are turned off..

duh ofc and i u put /devmap on and then change some settings that are cheat protected and then put /map ultra.... then the settings will be the same as in the devmap so it has no point
