Site Redesign?

I've been thinking of ways to 'spice' the site up a bit recently - it looks a bit dull and has done for some time now. I've been testing around with a copy of the index.php page, and have come up with this:

Comments/suggestions/criticisms welcome! If all goes well I should be making the whole site look like this (or similar to this depending on what changes are made).

also I have always wandered y the cj helpers never had a page like the cj team?

I think it looks quite nice - fitting for cod2...but maybe a bit bland.

Yes.

Its has bright yellow on a dark background... talk about contrast clash.
