I occasionally run a server on a 1mb line with my mate, also on a 1mb line. He has absolutely no lag, infact he gets better ping on my server than many others.

All you need to run a server on your own machine is a config.

When I login to my router bit, there are 2 pages that look as though they might hold the key... from the pictures, what am I doing wrong, and what do I need to change?

I use portforwarding instead of the virtual server bit. But I don't see the portforwarding option in your routersetup list ?
I tried the virtual server option before but that didn't seem to work for me.

ok, as my mate has set up his router to be able to host servers on cod, I got him to tell me how he done it.

He used the DMZ option (which I see you have).
He did not make virtual servers and doesnt have the other option.
