file sum/name mismatch and waiting for other players...

Post by ArcaneZ » December 23rd, 2012, 4:13 am

I can't launch some maps due to the file sum/name mismatch error.
Before I start the game I type /g_gametype cj and /sv_pure 0. I then type /devmap mp_mapname with some maps and it just comes up with that error.
Also, I have another problem for some maps. When I launch the map, it loads properly all the way up to "waiting for other players" and it just sits there and doesn't load the map.

I have the map folder in usermaps then I copy both the .iwd and the .ff into mods/codjumperv3_12
I have tried putting only the .iwd file or the .ff file in on its own but still no luck.

Help GREATLY appreciated, I've been trying to fix this problem for 3 days.

im having the same problem with a whole mod when i play offline.
but with specific maps if u are keen to play them before someone posts the proper way to fix it u can delete the map and re download it from this forum. thats what i do when a map doesnt work.

Yep, this issue is caused by having too many maps in your "usermaps" folder - just delete or move some out and it should work fine.
