Am I doing something wrong?

Well I used to have haerd the thing called "strafe" I've also seen "couple" frag movies etc. that you see people move like " Jagaaar" and with such easily... I was always doing in cod4 (by default..no one teached it to me) jumps that they seemed like strafe jumps... and I was really thinking I was strafing...

everything changed when I saw a codjumper video in youtube...I was like so I decided to try it my self..I downloaded a map..But it seems it was too hard for me..so I started from a tutorial in youtube

According to this..I could do it that thing in backlot's balcony...Also I could do that thing in pipeline (He is saying..that if I achieve this..I can strafe)

But then...I loaded backlot...I could do many things like the bounce in the Bombsite B etc. But I could not go in the roof of middle house

Ah, any good maps that you need to use ONLY 125 fps ? (i mean post a 7-10 maps here) , cause I can not lock 250 fps

(yes I know fullbright ,fx_draw etc. but again..I am going to 220-30 I think)

Can you send a YouTube video of the Backlot jump you're trying to do? I don't have the time to download and play back a demo currently. Even a timestamp on a random video would be sufficient for us to know which jump you mean.

As for 125 FPS only maps, I specifically made mp_peds_propel and mp_digital to be 125 FPS only. There's also mp_codjumper_training you can practice on and see how far you can jump with 125 FPS.

I was trying before the codjumper_training map and..I am really suprised by my self..at first I was like I can not even do the 250

then slowly slowly with a lot of fails I achieved finishing 250 260 and 270 and 280 I think

so I thought of coming back to 250 and test it again to see any improvements..and I could not believe it I have not done ANY mistake..I passed all of them with 0 failure

I will see the videos and I will go back to check

I use 640x480 (I know...Main Pc broke..Parents dont let me buy a new one stuck with my old PC..Anyway I get 125 fps steady with the fullbright,map thing and etc.)

One question in codjumper_training : why the platforms are called 250 260 etc.? it means 250 fps? cause I passed with 125 :S

also what is the "Stack" area it has?

The numbers on the walls are distance. So a 260 gap is 260 units.
The stack section is for stacking (a method for getting up obstacles for 2 or more people).

thanks guys for the reply!, the strafe tutorial in codjumper_training was really nice! also stacking tutorial was good too!

I just think I have my own idea... 90 degrees from the other place I want to Lant... Slowly moving my mouse to the place I want to go.. (at the same time W+A/D + SHIFT) jumping (Being on 0 degrees that time) and woila...I just think its better than 120 degrees ? :S

Ok so I excercised today again in codjumper_training (awesome map for training....)


in 250 I had a lot of failures in the first one ... BUT I had just woke up..so you know it was a bit difficult to do it C:
