Downloading atm. I've never played a Fallout game before, but I'm quite bored at the moment and this seems to be quite an interesting game. You can gamble I've heard, so I know what I'm going to be doing to get money 8).

i played Fallout 3 for like 10 hours. There were tons of quest i made and get bored because i didnt made a step into the story. I know i could when i make the mainquests but im a jew in roleplaying games and wanted all the extras. That was my fault. Otherwise it was pretty good and definitively the money worth

I've spent a few hours on it so far. It's pretty good, the story isn't nearly as good or immersive as F3, but the gameplay is a bit better and the atmosphere is what you'd expect from Fallout.

If I was playing a game for the graphics I'd be playing some shitty, unbalanced, uncreative, derivative, over-priced, over-hyped, poorly designed piece of shit (like MW2). I'll take the graphics sacrifice for the game not sucking.

tbh MW2 is not poorly designed, it has some pretty awesome maps most of you'd like :D But most points are true. The SP is awesome too. I've played the MoH SP recently and it's not as good as MW2 SP.

Anyway, Steam is downloading it now, will play it in an hour or so :D

Thats because the engine it is run on is the same Gamebryo engine from Fallout 3 with only minor lighting modifications. So the engine is two years old.

There has to be a point where we stop thinking every new game has to be using a new and improved engine. In the past it was many years of games before a new engine was used, at the rate we are trying to advance engines we are just wasting effort and losing the gameplay aspects, which is why there are so many shit games flooding the market recently.

This engine was used in some of the greatest games including Oblivion.

Also, remember this is more an RPG than a FPS, so story and environment take precedence over the shooting and graphics.

Only played a few hours, its practically an expansion to Fallout 3, haven't really got so far into the story yet.
