The map is done:

CoD4 link:

mp_jm_cruise.rar (42.5MB)

OLD STUFF
------------------

New map in progress, a ship at sea. Got the idea from listening to some ambient music(the sea rushing) and playing the ship mission in cod4. :) So the map will be set on a ship, I've got it planned out for the most part and I've scripted a generic door script which allows me to copy paste doors with the same targetname(thanks drof for the cod2 scripting for dummies tutorial!).

I've uploaded the ambient here.

Anywho, onto the screenies:

Comments?(Screenies were a bit retouched with PS, at which I suck. :P)

More like semi-realism, I still have to make jumps and a lot of times it's not easy to make it seem realistic as well as jumpable.

Nope, just this one, it's gonna be a short jump map, 5mins max(record breaking, anyone?).

I just like to map, so I like to do it a lot. :)

Yes, I know what you mean. I'm going to have that problem very shortly with my upcoming (potentially) jump map

Any map is a sniper map in my case. But the best sniper maps are those like Brecourt, hardly any cover, just plains. That's how the best sniper map is. Maps in games nowadays feature too much eye candy. The simple made maps are often the best (Harbor for example is so easy in design, but one of the best maps ever made in CoD).

I find that toujane is so visually pleasing simply because of the cool architecture, but also very well laid out. A very nasty middle cross for ctf is what makes it exciting to play that gametype :)
