Help Kar98k_1_mp ? wtf ?

When i try to watch the demos tht spx has made i get an error saying something bout kar98k_1_mp canot be found or something can some1 give me a link to download this wotever the ghey thing is ?! lol cheers

I have no clue on this problems.

There should be some custom pk3 files in your folders which doesn't belong there.

There seem to be quite a lot of errors to do with the kar

Delete or move your custom pk3 files... then retry IF it does not work when you have all "stock" files THEN the person who recorded the demo must have used a custom pk3 mod for the kar... which means you cant play it unless you have his custom pk3 (I think)

Which demos (Map and number)?

If its not the client with the custom pk3's, then could the demo be screwed if the demo taker had a mod on at the time?

If we have to check their demos and we got no mods installed (I never download mods, only maps and total conversions) doesn't that mean that I can't watch it too ??? So far I can watch every demo without mods installed so I have no idea on why it shouldn't work.

Thats what I was trying to find out.
If we knew the numbers of the demo we (anyone without mods/custom pk3s) could check them. If an error occurs its the demo, if not its the user.

Any additional pk3's are either mods/maps/custom pk3's
Remove them and retry the demo.

Maps have no effect on demos so you can keep those for sure

Dunno about Total Conversions though...

Well i DO know that if the client doing th edemo is using a modded thing, then you have th ehave that file, like the boost pistol mod thingi wocoom made, i made a demo to show my friend and he couldnt watch either...

It would be helpful if we were told what demo this was, as I have not watched all the demos.

That's why the CoDJumpers who upload the demos to this site have to be sure if there's no MOD installed. I always have Autodownload on and if I downloaded some kind of MOD I delete it after gameplay.
