akk call vote or end map vote update?

Post by leveller » December 30th, 2005, 9:44 pm

i sucsesfully intergrated the AWE end map voting system in to akk, see picture below (muchas gracias AWE and CoDam for the code)

dont know if this is the thing drofder was talking aboud, but is the only voting system i found at CoDam and AWE.

im still building on a complete new voting system, which can keep track off all the vote made by a person and act accordingly.
so abusive use of the voting system will be (hopefully) banned to the past.

Its only half of what I was talking about.

There is a ingame voting system that disables voting as well.

Example.

Player 1 votes map change to dawnville.
Vote Fails
Player 1 tries to vote again.
Message: Player 1's voting is disabled for 30 seconds.
Wait 30 seconds.
Player 1 can now vote again.

This disables the use of spam voting (very annoying).

I cannot imagine it being a very hard code to create.

Create a loop for each player, check for when player votes. If vote succeeds end the loop, if vote fails, disable the player from voting.

The loop should check for when the player votes and if the player voting is disabled or not.

You got it :)?

that is what i thought 2, that it would be an easy job to make.

Boy was i wrong, :(

as far as i can tell, the actual callvote which is send to the server would it be a next map or any other map = hard coded in to
game_mp_x86.dll.

if that is the case i would need to write an external program which hooks in to the dll and manges things from there.

in the time beeing, is this the best i can do.

if you can find out who or what made the ingame voting system that would b even better.
