[Stolen Thread] Ex-WIP Material
Here are some WIP stuff I own. Sorry about stolen thread and also the image resize...
CoD4 (Beginning rooftop from Mirrors Edge)
This was based off a CoD1 map (I think)
CoD2
Chateau Exterior Layout (To Scale)
Hurtgen Bunker
Mario 1-1 Scaled. No idea where this come from
Boat, Zeppelin and UFO (Again, I do not know where I got these from)
CoD1 (Recreation of H&D2 Bridge Map)
JM_Denmark
No idea why I have this.
I have many, many projects given to me by others (mostly completed), from Leveller, Luke, Peds, Nightare and others I sadly cannot remember who they belong to.

*3rd person mode on with angle and range adjusted so it looks like a platformer. You would move right with your forward key which wouldn't be that intuitive.Drofder2004 wrote:Side scrolling platformer map[SoE]_Zaitsev wrote:What's that side scrolling CoD4 thingy then? lol

Re: mp_stjames .map file release (CoD4)
Yeah I'd imagine so, although this would present a few problems with keeping the 'camera' fixed, people blocking your path(since you can't exactly go around them) etc.Drofder2004 wrote:Come on, you know this base was covered.
Why not release the 100% completed ones? It's been quite a while since those members were last active, and Peds is always on a vacation so it's basically the same thing. Credit the original author, or put 'unknown' as the author until someone comes forward(if at all) with proof that it's their map.I have many, many projects given to me by others (mostly completed), from Leveller, Luke, Peds, Nightare and others I sadly cannot remember who they belong to.

Re: mp_stjames .map file release (CoD4)
As far as I know, jm_mall isn't finished, so unless you're planning on finishing the map it wouldn't make much sense to release it. I was referring more to the 'mostly completed' projects Drof had(although it would be great to see some new stuff for CoD2 once for a change )

Re: mp_stjames .map file release (CoD4)
1. Whenever I took a map for fixing or help, it was always under the agreement that I would never release it.Rezil wrote:Why not release the 100% completed ones? 2. Some of these maps are released already or have been used in other maps.
3. Some of the maps are so awful, I would do more discredit to the author for releasing them.
I am happy to give away any of my creations, those being the CoD4 stuff, Chateau, Hurtgen & Bridge.
The main projects I have that are unfinished/unknown authors are:
CoD1:
"lukesmap" - (Luke? - Its rammed full of models and ladders and more crap...)
cj_change - (Unknown - Awful linear map - looks finished)
CoD2:
mp_resparisnight - (Unknown, Paris map)
mp_tuscany - (possibly DraVen - has been released I think)
mp_lev_complex - (bare-bones mostly, I assume Leveller)
CoD4:
mp_nm_toybox - (Incomplete conversion of NM's Toybox)
mp_r - (KS's Incomplete conversion of mp_railyard)
"a" - (I think this is Peds's start of parkour?)
mp_breakout - (Unknown - Prison block, far from complete)

Probably is mine, I had a habit of calling maps 'a' in the early stages of developmentDrofder2004 wrote:"a" - (I think this is Peds's start of parkour?)

@Drof
that lev_complex map is/was mine - you can release it anyways

I've got this one here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=11339&hilit=mp_defrag
and here a few screens from a never released project
and a few more rather small projects
