Usually, yes. tbh, 9/10 the goodies you get are either so weak after the first few hours of gameplay, or easily earned within the first hours of gameplay. The only real unique things received are simply 'material' (Star Trek Online = "Khan emote").

I liked a few videos and dislike a lot more. I was never a fan of the BF series, and enjoy infantry gaming a lot more than vehicular.
Worth a gamble at £25 or not?

Is the game good fun alone, as often the case I can get bored/stressed out and usually will just jump on a game with music on, good for that or not?

Haha, that video was epic not only because of bashing MW2 nonstop throughout and explaining the MP game better than any official video, but also because there was a TF2 reference

Can't be arsed to find it on Youtube, it explains all the PC specific things that they've worked on, it really helped me gain confidence in the game.
