Black ops console Problem.

Sorry if in wrong section,but it black ops issue.lol

OK ive done the following, but i still dont get a open console when i press the (~)key

How to Enable Dev Console in Call of Duty: Black Ops Singleplayer
1. Open your config.cfg with notepad. Config.cfg for Black Ops is located here.

program files/Steam/steamapps/common/call of duty black ops/players

2. Now search for “seta monkeytoy”. You can press CTRL+F and type it in.
3. Change seta monkeytoy “1″ to seta monkeytoy “0″, replacing 1 with zero.
4. Save the changed you made in the config and start the game. Now you can access the dev console by pressing tild key (~).

ive set the Monkeytoy to (0) but still it wont open, so whats going on, did they patch this to stop us opening it up, i liketo try a few things on ops as a single player and in single mode zombies.


I have managed to get working on my game cfg file some bind keys to work,

bind 7 "god"
bind - "give minigun_zm"

But i also wanted to add the following binds that i cant seem to get working.

bind 7 "god"
bind 9 "player_sustainAmmo 1" = no reload
bind 0 "sf_use_ignoreammo 1"
bind = "give all"
bind [ "give thundergun_zm"
bind ] "toggle jump_height 999"
bind ' "sf_use_ingoreammo 1"
bind ; "g_speed 350"

Are these he correct items for binding, if not could someone help me out with the correct ones, i would also liketo try and find the correct code to bind for unlimited money for zombie games..

The console in singleplayer exploit (that monkeytoy command) was patched shortly after release.

As for the binds I'm not sure, I know that some binds work on SP zombies but not MP zombies (fov 80 for example).

Why did they patch the single player Console , less fun for us now, we buy the game only to have more fun taken away from us, as console allows us to do more stuff, GOD, lol, Unlimited ammo, ect, this is not realy destroying the game in anyway is it.? so why take our consoles away.?
