I've signed the petition as #10358!

If it is as everyone is saying, and IW don't change their mind, then I honestly don't know what path the website should take. Perhaps we should move into jumping in ALL games generally (I've considered this in the past, but decided against it for the meanwhile as it would be an enormous task) - it's starting to look as though I may be forced to do so.

I don't doubt that the community/website can still run with MW2 as a part of it, but with so many key members of the community not buying the game (including pretty much all of the CJ Team), I don't know how the jumps would be integrated into the site other than just links and links to YouTube videos in an unorganised manner.

Decided the issue is significant enough for us to put a popup on the homepage, a first for CJ as far as I remember. Also added a corner ribbon on main site and forums, which links to the petition (which is growing VERY fast).

I just signed it and when I checked my signature on the list (which was 3 seconds after I signed it), there were 10 more signatures after my name .

The news spread so quickly that even 4chan decided it was worthy a raid. Apparently they posted porn and generally spammed the fuck out of threads (there was a thread title "I FUCKED 402's MUM", which was a mild amusement).

Eventually the 150 page thread (my last count, but apparently 400) for the petition had to be deleted.

Interestingly somebody dug up an interview where 402 says that they are keeping PC Multiplayer in the same way that it is currently and not making any changes to it....erm somebody lied.

Although the Nazis over at IW have deleted that forum topic as well "402 lied to us"

I agree with don't shoot the messenger, and he certainly knew he was about to piss a lot of people off yesterday when he broke that news, but I wonder why he kept it quiet for this long...

I think that all this is pretty pointless since the game is coming out in 3 weeks. How the fuck should they put dedicated servers in when the CDs are already burnt onto the disks? With a patch?

If this is is pointless, then IW simply doesn't care that they have now lost potentially 15k customers (number of people who have signed the petition as of now). let's do some quick math. 15k*$60 (price of MW2 where I am) = $900,000. they have just lost nearly one million dollars. I don't know about you, but if I lost one million dollars, I would care.

What I REALLY dont understand is why the fuck they woukld take them out in the first place...why not just leave them in? What P[OSSIBLE advantages do people who play on PC's (who generally have a good enough deal of computer knowledge to know these things) get from no dedi's?
