By doing this, their sales for the PC in specific drop by a minimum of 50% (90% imo), and by doing so, they will have a better reason to stop making cod4 for the PC. If this was "just a game", why do IW not give the game away for free?
Because this is NOT just a game, this is the biggest growing entertainment business worldwide, and they are a company fighting for some of the money that this industry has. You do not get by in business without selling what is wanted. A game not supportive of the PC gamers needs is not going to be bought. Due to a major PC backlash, the company will lose a lot of money, piracy rates will soar and they could affectively lose Activision as a producer.
