[CoD2] DeFRaG Mod

DeFRaG Mod - CoD2

- Download:
--- Mod: Click Here
--- Map Packs: Click Here
--- Server.cfg: Click Here

- Instructions:
--- Installation:

Code: Select all

1. Download - Mod & Maps & Config [from above]
2. Place maps and server.cfg inside "Main" folder

3. Open server.cfg and change IP and Passwords and save

4. Create folder called "defrag" and place in root CoD2 directory (where "Main" is)
5. Place mod in "defrag" folder

6. Right Click "CoD2MP_s.exe" and select "Send to" then "Desktop (as shortcut)"
7. Go to desktop and find shortcut
8. Right click and select "Properties"

9. In the 'Target' box, place cursor at end and insert " +set fs_game "defrag" +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg"
10. Click "Ok"
--- Play:

Code: Select all

1. Double Click your new shortcut.
2. When loaded, type "status" in the console window (If you get "Server is not running" you have a problem)
3. Now load up CoD2 normally.
4. Open Console and type /connect x.x.x.x:28960; password "xxxx" (replacing the required x's with your own ip and password)

You should now be connected to your own dedi-server (and if ports are correctly forwarded, friend can join using your IP)
- How To:
--- Rocket Jumping: Simply "Jump" and "Fire" the rocket beneath you.
--- Wall Climbing: After 'Rocket Jumping' "Fire" a rocket at the wall below yourself.
--- Height & Distance: Face backwards and 'Rocket Jump'
--- Distance (limited height): Strafe and fire rocket directly downwards continuosly.

--- defrag_twintowers
--- df_zotyi
--- mp_defrag
--- mp_defrag_v2
--- mp_hell
--- defrag_base
--- defrag_crystal
--- defrag_metal
--- defrag_movement

Please, if you edit this mod, keep the original credits.

If you are able to host a Dedi-Server running this mod, please provide your IP!

2. These videos are from the very early section of the map, so, yes these are easy but to perfect them, takes a little work.

New version will be out shortly.
It features:
Auto load on death (user can disable this)
Better hud (especially with measurement tools)
Respawn on reset (now forces into spectator)
Loads of non-visible improvements, basically for performace (and some bug fixes ofc)


Currently working on:
Porting warsow walljumps
Teleport weapon on end

It's quite an interesting mod. I tried it out last night and it was definitely something new for me. Personally I was expecting strafing in the same way that Q3 had it (strafing continuously to gain speed), although that wasn't the case :/. However, I still had quite a bit of fun playing it, so keep up the good work :D.
